We pride ourselves on our commitment to freshness, quality, and exceptional customer service. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Purchaser to join our team.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will assist in sourcing and purchasing inventory, ensuring compliance with our organization's procurement policies and procedures. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, an understanding of the food industry, a keen eye for pricing, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the procurement process, including sourcing and purchasing goods and services.
- Conduct research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate prices.
- Manage the purchasing process, including creating purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Analyze and report on supply chain data to optimize purchasing decisions.
- Coordinate with vendors and logistics providers to resolve any issues related to shipping, delivery, or payment.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve purchasing efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry and market trends.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our organization's inventory management systems and processes to monitor inventory levels and forecast demand.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, specifically in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles.
- Experience with pricing and cost analysis.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, along with the ability to learn and adapt to new software programs.
