Full Job Description

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Manager to join our team! The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensuring seamless coordination and communication across various departments. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing a range of tasks, from daily scheduling to strategic planning, to guarantee the efficient functioning of our operations.

Responsibilities:

Operational Daily Duties

Respond to correspondence within 24 hours.
Review ARC Claims/Defects and Notes.
Coordinate activities, liaising with maintenance and ensuring vans are serviced.
Analyze daily reports (EOC, Daily report, etc.) and update as necessary.
Monitor DSP Daily Capacity
Manage New Van Set-Up/Return process, ensuring van numbers are visible and safety forms are complete.
Handle on-the-road escalations and resolve scheduling concerns, differentiating between operational and HR issues.
Conduct candidate interviews.

Operational Weekly Duties

Review and approve Payroll/Timesheets.
Compile and analyze Weekly DSP capacity
Plan capacity for Prime/Peak periods and assess staffing needs.
Deliver the Morning Message, covering weather, delivery volume, and team updates.
Participate in DVIC meetings.
Publish Weekly Team Schedule using When I Work.
Assist in rostering review in the absence of key personnel.
Communicate important updates and delegate tasks to Team Leads
Manage the step van/CDV driver pipeline.
Review scorecards and weekly reports, providing individual coaching to team members.
Participate in Weekly Staffing Meeting, covering offboarding, onboarding, and associate update
Review inventory, ensuring adequate supplies (phone charging cables/adapters, mounts).
Monitor phone counts (damaged/replacements) and improve communication processes if needed.
Prepare and conduct necessary meetings, at least bi-weekly.
Set expectations for rescues as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
Minimum of two years of experience in operations management, preferably in a fast-paced delivery or logistics environment.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience in team management and conflict resolution is a plus.
