Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a experienced and passionate Mentor Lead for a Reggio Inspired Preschool. As a Mentor Lead your role will be to champion innovative early childhood education practices rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula that fosters creativity, inquiry, and social-emotional growth. You will serve as a mentor and leader for teaching staff, guiding them through best practices in classroom flow, instructional strategies, and professional growth. Your leadership will inspire a collaborative environment where all learners thrive and excel.

Our program encompasses both indoor and outdoor learning spaces. As a Mentor Lead you would oversee all environments to ensure that educators are planning and implementing curriculum and that areas are set up and maintained.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of curriculum aligned with Reggio Emilia principles, incorporating project-based learning and child-centered inquiry.
Advocate for child led experiences and curriculum through documentation.
Facilitate coaching sessions for teachers on instructional strategies, classroom environment setup, and learner engagement techniques.
Provide support with group flow, dynamics, and behaviors.
Oversee educators in their use of current assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform instructional adjustments, ensuring a personalized learning experience.
Promote a culture of reflective practice among staff through regular feedback sessions, peer observations, and collaborative planning.
Manage projects related to curriculum implementation, teacher training initiatives to ensure that quality standards are met.

Requirements

Proven experience in classroom teaching within early childhood education settings, preferably with project based and/or Reggio Emilia-inspired programs.
Strong background in curriculum development and environmental design for children,
Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate professional discussions with families and educators.
Technical proficiency with Canva and Brightwheel.
Experience coaching educators, and leadership in early education environments.
Knowledge of open ended curriculum development for young children that aligns with developmentally appropriate and best practices.
Strong writing skills necessary for creating materials and resources for families and educators.
