Compensation: $40-45/hour (clinical rate) $21/hour (documentation rate)

Position Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with under 1,500 clinical hours to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and somatic-based approaches to therapy. This role requires at least two days per week in our Santa Barbara office, with the remaining sessions conducted remotely.
This position also includes hands-on business coaching from an experienced practice owner, equipping you with essential skills to build and sustain your own private practice after licensure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide trauma-informed, mindfulness, and somatic-based therapy to a minimum of 25 clients per week.
- Conduct in-person sessions in Santa Barbara and telehealth sessions across CA.
- Perform intake assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing psychotherapy.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
- Participate in one-on-one business coaching to develop skills in private practice management, client acquisition, and marketing.
Requirements:
- Active AMFT registration in California.
- Under 1,500 clinical hours completed.
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong commitment to trauma-informed, mindfulness, and somatic therapy.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Interest in gaining business coaching to build a successful private practice.
- Dedication to providing culturally competent care and supporting diverse client needs.
