As we continue this exciting transformation, we're looking for dedicated, team-oriented professionals to help drive operational excellence, enhance customer service, and deliver premium products across the flooring industry.

Position Summary

The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily receiving operations within the distribution center, ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient receipt of all inbound shipments. Reporting to the Warehouse Hub Distribution Manager, this role supervises receiving personnel, maintains inventory accuracy, ensures compliance with warehouse procedures, and promotes a safe and productive work environment.

The Receiving Supervisor provides hands-on leadership, supports inventory control activities, and works closely with warehouse leadership to ensure efficient product flow and operational excellence.

Essential Functions

Supervise daily receiving operations, including inbound shipments, transfers, returns, and vendor deliveries.
Ensure accurate inspection, verification, and processing of incoming inventory.
Coordinate unloading, staging, labeling, and storage of received products.
Verify shipment documentation and ensure timely system transactions.
Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, inventory audits, and discrepancy resolution.
Investigate receiving shortages, damages, and inventory variances and coordinate corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies, warehouse procedures, and operational standards.
Assist with maintaining organized warehouse storage locations and efficient inventory flow.
Support order fulfillment by ensuring received inventory is available and accurately recorded.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving Operations

Oversee day-to-day receiving activities and assign work to receiving team members.
Monitor inbound schedules and prioritize workload to meet operational demands.
Verify quantities, product quality, and shipment documentation.
Ensure accurate receiving transactions within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system.
Coordinate resolution of receiving discrepancies, vendor issues, shortages, and damaged freight.

Inventory Control

Support cycle counting and inventory audit activities.
Assist in investigating inventory discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
Maintain accurate inventory records through proper receiving and inventory procedures.
Ensure products are properly labeled, stored, and organized.

Leadership & Team Development

Supervise and coach receiving associates.
Provide ongoing training, performance feedback, and daily direction.
Promote teamwork, accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
Assist with scheduling and workload distribution to maximize productivity.

Operational Excellence

Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor receiving productivity, inventory accuracy, and operational performance.
Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Support cross-functional collaboration with warehouse, inventory, and customer service teams.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, receiving, shipping, or distribution experience.
Minimum of 1–2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse environment.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory management software.
Knowledge of receiving procedures, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Preferred

Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
Experience in flooring, building materials, manufacturing, or distribution.
Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse best practices.

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and drug screen.
