Manufacturing Planner / Logistics Coordinator

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Manufacturing Planner / Logistics Coordinator to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience planning inventory, materials, and production activities within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronics or high-tech industry. This position plays a critical role in ensuring material availability, maintaining optimal inventory levels, supporting production schedules, and improving overall supply chain performance.

The successful candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities frequently change.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production and material plans based on customer demand, forecasts, and manufacturing capacity.
Plan inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess inventory and shortages.
Monitor inventory health, including safety stock, reorder points, obsolete inventory, and inventory turns.
Coordinate material availability with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Warehouse teams.
Analyze demand fluctuations and proactively identify potential material shortages or supply risks.
Review MRP recommendations and release purchase and manufacturing requirements as appropriate.
Ensure timely availability of materials required to meet production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve supply chain issues and expedite critical materials when necessary.
Coordinate inbound logistics and material movement to support manufacturing operations.
Maintain accurate planning parameters, lead times, BOMs, and inventory master data within the ERP/MRP system.
Track key performance indicators including inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory turns, shortages, and planning efficiency.
Participate in cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and continuous inventory improvement initiatives.
Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes (ECOs), and product transitions.
Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.
Assist with monthly and quarterly inventory analysis, forecasting, and capacity planning.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–7 years of experience in production planning, material planning, inventory planning, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
Experience planning inventory for a mid-sized or large manufacturing operation.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, and data analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification.
APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification.
Experience in electronics manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, or high-mix/low-volume manufacturing.
Experience working in ISO-controlled manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, Just-in-Time (JIT), and continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of production scheduling, inventory optimization techniques, and forecasting methods.
Experience supporting Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and New Product Introductions (NPI).

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
