Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef or Sushi Helper to join our vibrant culinary team! As a Sushi Chef or Sushi Helper, you will be the creative force behind crafting authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes that delight our guests. Your expertise in Japanese cuisine, attention to detail, and dedication to quality will elevate our dining experience. You will be responsible for preparing sushi with precision, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and inspiring your team with your culinary artistry.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty creations, ensuring each piece meets quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Source fresh ingredients daily and manage inventory to minimize waste while ensuring availability of supplies.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and portion sizes across all dishes served.
Uphold the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Helper within a busy restaurant or culinary setting.
Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, and ingredient handling.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
Creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics and innovation in sushi presentation.
