Chatsworth, CA

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8AM -5PM
Hybrid schedule — candidates must reside in Southern California and be able to commute to the office on a weekly basis. This is not a remote position.

Job Summary

Looking for an experienced Leave & Disability Program Manager to oversee leave administration, ADA/FEHA accommodations, workers’ compensation coordination, and employee wellness initiatives. This role will provide leadership, compliance oversight, process improvement, and operational support across multiple HR functions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing leave programs, disability accommodations, workers’ compensation processes, and employee relations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

Experience

Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in leave administration, ADA/FEHA accommodations, and workers’ compensation
Minimum 3 years in a lead, advisory, or supervisory capacity
Experience creating workflows, training programs, or system/process improvements strongly preferred

Skills

Strong knowledge of federal and California leave laws and disability regulations
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally
Experience with HRIS systems and reporting tools preferred

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeave of Absence Administration

Oversee and administer employee leave programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FEHA, and related leave laws
Provide guidance to employees and management regarding leave eligibility, accommodations, and return-to-work processes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies

ADA/FEHA Accommodation Administration

Manage the interactive process and workplace accommodations
Coordinate documentation and communication related to accommodation requests
Partner with management to support compliant and effective accommodations

Workers’ Compensation

Coordinate workers’ compensation cases and return-to-work programs
Communicate with employees, managers, insurance carriers, and medical providers
Monitor claims and ensure timely follow-up and documentation

Benefits & Wellness

Support employee wellness initiatives and benefits-related programs
Assist with employee communication and program education

Team Leadership & Operations

Provide leadership and guidance to HR and leave administration teams
Design and deliver training related to leave management, accommodations, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work responsibilities
Prepare reports, dashboards, and compliance tracking metrics
Lead or participate in process improvement and cross-functional initiatives
Support policy development and implementation strategies

Work Environment

Hybrid work schedule combining remote and in-office work
Professional office environment

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel within California may be required. Candidates driving for business purposes must maintain a valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and meet company driving requirements.
