Position Summary
The Engineering Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, technical development, and execution of engineered fall protection, exterior building maintenance (EBM), suspended access, and access system projects. This role serves as a bridge between Estimating, Engineering, Operations, Fabrication, and Field Installation teams to help ensure projects are technically sound, code compliant, constructible, and efficiently executed from preconstruction through closeout.
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical coordination skills, construction engineering knowledge, drafting experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate engineering-related project activities from project handoff through closeout.
- Assist with development and coordination of engineered fall protection and EBM systems.
- Review architectural, structural, and construction drawings for project feasibility, coordination, and code compliance.
- Support preparation and coordination of engineering calculations, submittals, RFIs, ASIs, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with Professional Engineers (PEs), consultants, architects, contractors, and internal teams throughout project execution.
- Assist with code interpretation and compliance coordination related to OSHA, Cal/OSHA, ANSI, IBC, and applicable safety regulations.
- Support OPOS documentation development and system compliance requirements where applicable.
- Assist in identifying constructability concerns, design conflicts, and field coordination issues before fabrication and installation.
Preconstruction & Estimating Support
- Assist Estimating department with preliminary design layouts, concept drawings, and system feasibility reviews during preconstruction and bidding phases.
- Support development of preliminary EBM, fall protection, access, and anchor layout drawings for budgeting and proposal purposes.
- Coordinate with Estimating, Engineering, and Operations teams to identify design constraints, constructability concerns, and code-driven scope requirements early in the project lifecycle.
- Assist in review of architectural and structural drawings to support budgeting, proposal accuracy, and scope clarification development.
- Provide technical drafting support for conceptual system configurations, retrofit evaluations, and design-build pursuits.
Drafting & Design Support
- Assist with preparation and coordination of shop drawings, layout drawings, and fabrication details.
- Support drafting revisions based on engineering review, field conditions, RFIs, and client comments.
- Coordinate drawing updates and revision tracking throughout project lifecycle.
- Maintain organized engineering and drawing documentation.
Fabrication & Operations Coordination
- Coordinate between Engineering, Fabrication, Procurement, and Operations teams to support accurate project execution.
- Assist with material review, fabrication package coordination, and technical clarification support.
- Support field installation teams with technical documentation and engineering coordination.
- Participate in project kickoff meetings and technical review meetings.
- Assist with closeout documentation, engineering turnover packages, and final record documentation.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in engineering coordination, construction project management, drafting, or related technical construction roles preferred.
- Experience with the development of OPOS deliverables.
- Experience with fall protection, suspended access, EBM systems, structural systems, or specialty construction strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, engineering coordination, and technical project workflows.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, ANSI, and construction safety standards preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Revit experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Cloud Coach, ERP/project management systems, or similar construction management software preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This is primarily a sedentary position, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer—up to 8 hours per day. Regular duties include reading, writing, and performing basic calculations to complete necessary documentation. The role requires manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, phone, and standard office equipment. Occasional walking, bending, reaching, and standing may also be required. Some travel is required, including driving, flying, and occasional overnight stays depending on site location and business needs.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time salary exempt position with a typical Monday through Friday schedule, following a standard 40-hour workweek. Regular business hours apply, generally within the range of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and may vary based on company needs. This position may require hours beyond the standard working hours listed above to satisfy job duties and department demand.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
