Full Job Description

Our Playground Supervisor and Office Aide will help us to keep our students safe during lunches and recess, will help our students when they are not feeling well or need help resolving a conflict and will promote positive behavior of students and visitors on campus. This position is integrated into our Young Learners program, an academic program for ages 4-6 to ensure their lunchtime and playtime is supervised, safe and loving.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE

Experience working with all ages of students
Works well with all types of personalities and stressful situations with parents & students
Enjoy supporting a team of teachers and administrators
Ability to reliably come to work

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in the security and supervision of students on our playground and assures student conduct on or around campus is to our standards.
Prepares written records including incident reports and related materials as necessary.
Performs other various office, set up and clean up duties as assigned.
Provides support to teachers as needed.
Helps with the planning and execution of special events as well as smaller weekly events designed to help students enjoy their time at our Center, make friends, and learn pivotal skills like conflict resolution, empathy, drawing boundaries, healthy play and respect.
Performs related duties as assigned in an emergency.
Will work to close down our site each day by putting everything away, locking up, ensuring we are leaving the campus clean for the next group.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Ability to work with students, parents and teachers in a way that supports the growth and encouragement of all children.
Ability to provide exceptional support to teachers and administrative team.
Ability to implement conflict resolution strategies when needed.
Understands and applies rules, procedures and policies.
Communicates effectively in both oral and written form.
Uses tact, patience and courtesy.
Maintains regular attendance.
Willingness to care for all children and understand that kids have good days and bad days, and need our help to have many more good days. We use a gentle touch with children to help them to feel safe, but also apply healthy boundaries.

Schedule

Mon: 9:30 - 1:30

Tues, Thurs, Fri: 10:00 - 3:30

Wed: 9:30 - 3:30

We operate on a trimester schedule:

Fall: Sept 7 - Nov 20

Winter: Jan 4 - Mar 12

Spring: Mar 22 - May 21

We will only be hiring for these dates at this time.
