Full Job Description

I. Position Summary

The In-Room Dining Server position is responsible for providing friendly, prompt, courteous and service and a perfect delivery to our guests according to hotel standards and standard operating procedures. Insure that all guests are satisfied with the intent on returning. Complete functions in accordance with the standard operating procedures.

II. Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Answer phone following standard phone etiquette

2. Take guest orders

3. Check for ample supply of dishware, pots, glasses, ice, folded napkins, etc

4. Expedite the orders that are coming his/her way

5. Ensure that orders are correct as well as delivered on time

6. After order has been delivered, present the check to the guest to ensure it has been signed

7. Ensure that Room Service is cleaned and well stocked for the next shift

8. Cash out and bring their checks and summaries to the front desk

9. Servers will occasionally take V.I.P amenities to guests

III. Additional Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and appearance of the Room Service Station, to include ensuring housekeeping tasks and general maintenance are in place to a high standard.

The ideal candidates will have the necessary skills to successfully serve in a busy restaurant setting with the ability to meet our high service expectations. A friendly personality, professional appearance, and excellent communication skills are required. Candidates must also demonstrate a willingness to learn and follow instructions, as well as strong punctuality and reliability.
