Pet Bather / Groomer’s Assistant (hourly plus tips)
The Whole Kitten Capoodle is looking for a part-time grooming assistant to start mid August with a starting wage at 17 per hour plus tips after the training process (negotiable with previous professional experience) (tips are usually 20-40$ a day). It will be 17$ per hour plus tips during training. Schedule is 3-4 days a week (usually be 9am-3pm, but it depends on scheduling and can go till 4pm some days).
Must atleast have personal experience with dogs & cats. Previous experience professionally bathing/drying is a bonus but not required.
Responsibilities include bathing/drying cats & dogs, cleaning ears/expressing anal glands, brushing & prepping for grooms, helping clean the salon, cleaning up after pets.
You must be patient with animals, reliable, not squeamish, be able to lift up to 65 pound dogs, and have your own transportation to and from work. Please be aware that the job is very physical & you will be working with dogs that are anxious & difficult.
