Full Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping, including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), cash management, bank reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements and reports using desktop QuickBooks. Must be proficient with and have at least 3 years experience using full suite of desktop QuickBooks, and be proficient with Excel and Word to generate management reports. Position is 5 days a week, on-site, in pleasant Santa Fe arts-related work environment. Your expertise will help support our organization’s continued growth, financial success and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your bookkeeping and accounting skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Record and process journal entries using desktop QuickBooks
Prepare disbursements
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis
Prepare financial reports, including statements and summaries
Generate reports, charts and graphs for management using Excel and data from Quickbooks

Requirements:

Proven experience with full suite of desktop QuickBooks, Excel and Word
Strong knowledge of accounting principles. Expertise in double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
Familiarity with bank reconciliation, account analysis, and use of Excel to generate financial reports, graphs and charts from Quick Books
Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks
Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills in managing multiple accounts and deadlines
Position includes office and HR responsibilities
