We are currently seeking Manager, Resident Activities to join our amazing organization to help elevate our residents, leadership team, and employees to the next level. Your Role as a Manager, Resident Activities at El Castillo
you will do (But no limited to:)
Activities
- Develop programmatic resident activities based on resident interests and input
- Integrate healthy aging into fitness and other activities and create a vision of activities that supports the senior population
- Oversee Activity Coordinators leveraging their skills to provide programs and activities to residents based on the 7 dimensions of wellness – fitness, art, writing, languages, etc.
- Create a weekly schedule for each Activity Coordinator with the specific classes and activities each Coordinator is responsible for leading
- Inventory all current resident activities at each community to create a master list/schedule
- Work collaboratively with the residents who are involved in identifying resident programming. Support and coordinate responses to resident needs and help with any logistical or technological issues
- Book performers, speakers, fitness, and events across both communities
- Arrange room and equipment set-up for activities in coordination with facility staff
- Coordinate payment for speakers and programs
- Develop partnerships with local organizations, schools, entertainers, volunteers to enhance programming.
- Track key performance indicators (KPI’s) that measure resident engagement and participation in the programs and events offered
- Work collaboratively across the organization to plan resident programming, special events, fitness activities etc.
- Support and plan quarterly All Employee Meetings
- Coordinate and assist with employee recognition activities – Employee of the Quarter, Employee of the Year
Communications
- Work in collaboration with Manager, Communications to update and post weekly bulletins for resident events, tent cards, electronic communication boards and other communication vehicles
- Update communications as needed when events change (electronic boards, emails, written notices)
- Maintain community calendar in collaboration with the Manager, Communications – booking of various meeting spaces across both communities
Other
- Provide pro-active service-oriented communication with all residents and employees
- Ensure adherence to all El Castillo policies and establish a work environment that is positive and safe
- Serve as contact point for contracted salon/spa services
- Provide clerical support to Senior Director, Experienc
- Perform other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Experience in hospitality and even planning preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Experience working with the senior population.
