Why does the job exist?

The Data Analyst will:
Provide data analysis for the Managed Care Oversight Bureau to support Managed Care Organization (MCO) compliance with state and federal rules;

Work collaboratively with the Medical Assistance Division (MAD) Director and other senior MAD leadership to assist with data needs including the MCO dashboard and MCO network adequacy;

Assist with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reporting;

Provide oversight of metrics from all managed care organizations ensuring the MCO's are meeting compliance.

How does it get done?

The Data Analyst is responsible for:
Updating the MAD MCO dashboard for Senior MAD leadership;

Updating MCO reports as needed;

Assisting with CMS reporting as assigned;

Evaluating and reviewing metrics and data across key program areas to monitor program compliance;

Creating reports and presentations for senior leaders;

Collaborating between MCO's and senior leaders;

Completing and presenting analysis of data and information to support management decisions of corrective actions to resolve audit findings.

Other State and Federal agencies.

Other State and Federal agencies.

Minimum Qualification

High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of experience directly related to the position in providing GIS support, research, statistics, computer science, data analysis, accounting, auditing, finance, economics, business, public administration, budgeting, management, and/or systems analysis or related professional certification as determined by the hiring agency. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Must obtain a Defensive driving certification.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage with extended periods of sitting.
