Full Job Description

CNC Lathe Programmer / MachinistAbout the Role

Snider Precision is a family-owned, AS9100-certified machine shop specializing in high-precision aerospace and advanced manufacturing components. We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC turning centers in a build-to-print environment.

We are open to candidates ranging from strong setup machinists with programming exposure to senior-level machinists/programmers who can independently run complex, high-tolerance parts.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes (Doosan / FANUC controls)
Program parts using CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar)
Read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
Machine precision aerospace components (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel)
Optimize programs and setups to improve efficiency, quality, and cycle time

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience
CAD/CAM programming experience required
Familiarity with FANUC controls
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
Experience in precision machining (aerospace environment preferred)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs/priorities
