Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our property management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of property management practices, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves assisting with tenant relations, property maintenance, leasing activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Support and assist Property Manager, Leasing Office, and Maintenance Teams to accomplish goals and maintain a healthy working environment.
Help coordinate resident move-in and move-out processes.
Perform rent collection, deposit rents, and accurately process payments in property management software.
Maintain accurate and secure resident files, perform filing, and manage records.
Create and track work orders for resident concerns, ensuring timely completion and follow-up.
Manage resident relations, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Conduct unit tours with prospective residents and accompany contractors/vendors on property as needed.
Verify employment, residency, references, and credit for prospective resident applications.
Serve, post, and mail resident/legal notices as directed.
Order and prepare welcome bags for new residents.
Answer phones in a professional and helpful manner.
Communicate with and provide clear direction to onsite security (if applicable).
Document and process Occupied Unit Improvement (OUI) requests and city violations.
Perform community inspections with the Property Manager/Team, obtain bids for improvements, and oversee follow-through.
Provide training and coaching to Community Management Team members.
Participate in projects such as resident/community improvements, vacancy turnovers, and operational tasks.
Ensure positive, team-driven environment within the leasing office and community.

Qualifications & Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent (required).
Minimum 2 years of property management experience (required).
Minimum 2 years of administrative or customer service experience.
Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Yardi (or other property management software).
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Strong judgment, decision-making, and follow-through.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company golf cart or personal vehicle (if applicable).

Schedule

8-hour shift
Monday to Friday
For this position, you may be required to work on Saturdays as needed; a weekly schedule will be determined and sent out by the community manager.

Pay: $56,000.00 - $62,400.00 per year
