W-Trans provides traffic engineering and transportation planning services throughout California with an emphasis on the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California. We currently have offices in Santa Rosa (Sonoma County) and downtown Oakland, with plans to open an office in Sacramento in 2026. We specialize in projects that create more livable streets and sustainable transportation systems that emphasize a fully multi-modal approach. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning (or related field), with an emphasis in transportation
- Minimum of three years of professional experience related to transportation
- GIS Experience
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong experience and understanding of parking management and policies, and transportation demand management (TDM)
- Knowledge of common parking and TDM references (ULI Shared Parking, ITE Parking Generation, CAPCOA)
- Familiarity and experience in planning for Mobility Hubs
- Experience using ArcGIS both analytically and to prepare exhibits
- Ability to effectively manage projects within budget
- Valid driver’s license

- Salary range of $95,000 to $125,000 per year
- Full Benefits package with 100 percent coverage of certain medical and dental plans for employee and dependents, and 90 percent coverage for spouses

- Hybrid work schedule with three days per week of remote work if desired (negotiable based on position and residence location)
- Flexible work hours, including option to work a traditional 40-hour work week or a 9/80 schedule and the ability to flex time over a month rather than just a pay period
- Average 78 percent billing goal to encourage work/life balance with a true 40-hour work week and supplementary trainings
