Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is a production position where the incumbent is responsible for timely moving, organizing, stacking, packaging, labeling, and final shipment of print product. The incumbent is expected to exhibit a high degree of Customer Service to ALMADEN clientele as well as ALMADEN personnel. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for following established Shipping/Receiving guidelines for efficiency which are in alignment with ALMADEN Quality Policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Follow standards of departmental shipping quality control by reading and understanding the Work Order/Job Docket

 Follow the priority of tasks and instructions as directed by the Shipping/Receiving Manager

 Fan print product to inspect for defects

 Organize, count, weigh, stack, box, label, transport material appropriately

 Maintain accurate Shipping/Receiving recordkeeping using Printers Plan software

 The normal work week is 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required at various times throughout the year

Required Skills

 Basic math skills

 Knowledge of scales and weight measurement units

 Minimum 1-2 years in shipping preferred

 Capable of working in a deadline driven environment

 Knowledge of DHL, Federal Express, and United Parcel Service shipping systems

 Knowledge of freight shipment processing is a plus but not required

 Beginning to Intermediate experience in on the PC platform to include the following: Microsoft Outlook,

Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

 Experience with manual, or powered pallet jack & other material handling equipment

 Certified Forklift Operator Certificate is required

 Basic knowledge of the print manufacturing workflow preferred, but not required

 Basic knowledge of mailing and United State Post Office shipping requirements preferred

 Interpersonal and communication skills are a must

 Team player contributing new methods to increase efficiency

 Must understand written and oral communication in English

 Must have a clean DMV record for occasional deliveries/pickups

 Must pass background check and be eligible for employment in the U.S.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
