Full-Time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)

Driver

Location: Solano, Yolo, Yuba & Immediate surrounding counties

Job Type: Full-Time

Rate of Pay: $18 per hour based on experience and performance

About Focus Non-Emergency Transportation:

Based in Fairfield, CA, we provide safe, reliable, and professional non-emergency

medical transportation services to help clients get to and from their appointments with

dignity, comfort, and respect. Modes of transportation include ambulatory, wheelchair

and gurney. Drivers will be tasked with safely transporting clients to various locations

while ensuring timely drop-offs and pick-up. This role requires strong customer service,

attention to detail, the ability to assist clients directly, and safe driving skills.

Job Description:

We are seeking dependable professionals who are client-focused and have a natural

heart for helping seniors. This role involves transporting individuals who may be

ambulatory, use a wheelchair, or require gurney transport. In addition to supporting and

helping area seniors and those with mobility issues, you will be helping hospitals,

emergency rooms, and nursing facilities accomplish their daily mission.

Responsibilities:

 Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicles and

equipment.

 Safely operate company vehicles to various pick-up locations to pick up clients to

be transported to medical appointments, specialty treatments and procedures.

 Load, secure, and then unload clients again from the vehicle and directly assist

them to check-in at their appointments.

 Coordinate with dispatch and company personnel to receive trip details and

provide supportive, respectful service to clients and facility staff.

 Ensure vehicles and equipment remain clean, in good serviceable condition, and

vehicles remain fueled.

 Maintain accurate trip records and follow company safety protocols.

Requirements:

 Must be 25 years or older.

 Clean driving record (MVR will be checked).

 Able to pass DOT medical exam.

 Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

 Must be able to speak and understand English.

 Physically able to safely lift, push, and assist patients as needed.

 Patient, professional, and reliable attitude toward clients.

 Flexible attitude and availability as schedules can change daily.

 Strong communication and customer service skills.

Full-Time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)

Driver

 Able to work both independently and as a team in support of other employees.

 Prior NEMT or healthcare-related experience a plus, but not necessary.
