Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Vascular Echo Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions. Your expertise will support physicians in evaluating blood flow, vessel integrity, and related physiological functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care within a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment that values precision, compassion, and innovation.

Duties

Conduct detailed vascular ultrasound procedures, including duplex scans of arteries and veins to assess blood flow and vessel health
Operate and maintain advanced sonography equipment, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis
Collaborate with physicians during interventional radiology and interventional cardiology procedures, providing real-time imaging support
Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring comfort throughout the process
Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) to document, store, and retrieve imaging data efficiently
Monitor vital signs and maintain aseptic technique to uphold safety standards during invasive or sterile procedures
Assist in diagnostic evaluations related to cardiology, including cardiac stress tests and telemetry monitoring when applicable

Experience

Proven experience performing vascular ultrasound examinations in a clinical setting, preferably within a Level I or Level II trauma center environment
Familiarity with interventional radiology procedures, cardiac catheterization, and cath lab operations is highly desirable
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and sonography principles essential for accurate imaging and interpretation
Hands-on experience operating medical equipment used in diagnostic evaluation and interventional procedures
Prior work in emergency medicine or trauma centers demonstrating ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring, aseptic techniques, and safety protocols during invasive procedures
Certification as a Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or equivalent credential is preferred
