We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes. Essential Job Functions:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
- Monitoring and recording patient vital signs
- Assisting with surgical procedures as needed
- Educating patients and their families on post-operative care
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Has a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Florida
- Current BCLS certification
- Current ACLS certification preferred or basic EKG or Arrhythmia identification certification
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a Full-time position located in Sarasota, FL.
Physical Demands:
- Stand and walk for extended periods, often for most of the shift.
- Frequently bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist, and maintain sustained positions during procedures.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Assist with positioning, transferring, and moving patients of varying weights, with help or mechanical equipment as appropriate.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while handling instruments and supplies.
- Demonstrate sufficient manual dexterity and fine motor coordination to operate medical equipment and maintain sterile technique.
- Possess adequate vision to read medication labels, monitor displays, identify instruments, and observe changes in a patient’s condition.
- Possess adequate hearing and communication abilities to respond to alarms and communicate effectively with the surgical team.
- Work while wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Respond quickly in emergency situations and perform duties in a fast-paced surgical environment.
