Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Clerk/Administrative Specialist to join our financial operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing essential accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial data entry, and supporting the overall administrative processes that keep our finance department running smoothly. Your expertise will help uphold compliance standards, while utilizing a variety of financial software systems to streamline operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Draft, edit and review loan documents.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within financial software systems such as QuickBooks, MoneyLender and others.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet accounts through detailed account analysis and journal entries.
Manage accounts receivable processes with precision, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
Conduct account reconciliation activities to ensure consistency across multiple systems and ledgers.
Assist with bookkeeping duties such as ledger maintenance, and double-entry bookkeeping procedures.
Support budgeting activities by compiling financial data for analysis and reporting purposes.
Handle confidential information with integrity while providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with familiarity in corporate accounting practices.
Hands-on experience with financial software such as QuickBooks; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Excel for data analysis is essential.
Experience in drafting contracts and loan documentation.
Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation, balance sheet review, and journal entry preparation accurately.
Excellent numeracy skills combined with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and handling customer inquiries professionally.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive or confidential information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
