Position: HR Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist
Location: Hybrid Remote

Advocate Health Advisors, one of America’s fastest-growing Medicare Field Marketing Organizations (FMO), seeks an experienced HR Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist to support recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating a positive candidate and new-hire experience.
Objective:
The HR Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist plays a key role in supporting the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes for new hires. This position is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of HR or recruiting who is organized, people-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Medicare or insurance industry exposure is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with job postings, candidate sourcing, resume screening, and interview coordination.
· Communicate with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruiting process.
· Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including scheduling orientation, sending welcome emails, and managing Day 1 logistics.
· Track and conduct 30/60/90-day check-ins with new hires
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee and candidate records.
· Support applicant tracking systems (ATS), including Indeed and LinkedIn, and assist with data entry and reporting.
· Help improve and standardize recruiting and onboarding processes.
· Assist with internal HR communications and announcements related to new hires.
· Respond to wage garnishments and unemployment claims from state agencies.
· Assist with the creation and facilitate new hire trainings using platforms such as Talent LMS
· Provide general support to the HR team as needed on recruiting and onboarding initiatives.
· Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: employee engagement initiatives, company-wide announcements, coordination of internal events or celebrations (birthdays, anniversaries, holidays), and general HR team support.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
· Must hold an active Life and Health insurance license or obtain it within 90 days of employment.
· 1+ year of experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative support.
· Associates degree or higher in a related field
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in recruiting, onboarding, or HR support role.
- Experience working with a PEO or TPA
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Exposure to Medicare or the insurance industry
- Experience with applicant tracking systems such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
- Bilingual in Spanish (spoken and written)
