Full Job Description

This position is for a Traveling Superintendent. You must be able to travel to jobsites within the southeast with company paid travel home. Ideal candidate lives within a 4-7 hour drive to various locations throughout the southeast.

Headquartered on a 16-acre campus in Birmingham, Alabama, we specialize in commercial and retail construction across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. Since 1984, we’ve delivered high-quality work in 23 states. While retail construction remains a cornerstone of our business, we’ve steadily expanded into other sectors.

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent with a strong background in ground-up commercial construction. This Superintendent is required to have over 10 years of experience as a superintendent on commercial ground-up construction. This position is for a traveling position throughout the southeast (usually within a 4–5 hour radius for projects from residence). Retail construction experience is highly preferred.

Our superintendents work closely with project managers to deliver quality builds on time and on budget. You’ll lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain safety standards, and represent the company to clients and inspectors alike. We value professionals who lead with integrity, collaborate with their teams, and take ownership of their work.

What You’ll Do:

Champion safety on the jobsite
Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors
Maintain daily records and jobsite documentation
Ensure work meets the highest standards and aligns with plans/specs
Communicate and coordinate with project managers, clients, inspectors, and local officials
Help uphold a collaborative, problem-solving approach to project delivery

What You Bring:

At least 10 years of experience as a commercial ground-up project superintendent (retail experience strongly preferred)
Able to travel for projects across the Southeast or work locally in Birmingham
Resume must include your project history (last 5–10 years minimum)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Familiarity with construction management software
Solid understanding of OSHA and jobsite safety
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Physical ability to navigate active jobsites (lifting up to 70 lbs, climbing, standing, crawling, etc.)

Salary: $150,000 to $170,000 (range is for a traveling position) plus weekly per diem.

This position will require a background check and drug test.
