Clinical Oversite: Southern Region (Waconia, Chaska, Shakopee, Edina, and Burnsville)

Clinical Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Job Overview

The Clinical Supervisor, under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager, is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Clinical Assistants, and Medical Scribes. Duties include, but are not limited to, supervision of Medical Assistants (MAs), Clinical Assistants (CAs), and Medical Scribes; ensuring clinic rooming coverage; assisting with medical supply orders and management for assigned clinics; UDS/PMP management; assisting with the creation and maintenance of Clinical Assistant and Medical Scribe schedules; managing timecards for Southern Region Clinical Assistant and Medical Scribe staff; and supporting the Clinical Services Manager with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise Clinical Assistants (CAs), Medical Assistants (MAs), and Medical Scribes.
Support the training, management, quality assurance, and quality improvement of Clinical Assistants (CAs) and Medical Assistants (MAs).
Create and maintain Clinical Assistant and Medical Scribe schedules to ensure appropriate staffing coverage across assigned clinics.
Review, approve, and manage timecards for Clinical Assistant and Medical Scribe staff within the Southern Region to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage for assigned clinics while collaborating with other Clinical Supervisors and the Clinical Services Manager.
Assist with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, orientation, performance management, annual evaluations, and payroll-related functions.
Address and resolve patient grievances and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Perform selected clinical, clerical, and administrative duties while supporting providers and staff as part of the patient care team.
Collect and accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record.
Electronically submit patient orders, including laboratory tests, referrals, and imaging studies.
Make and receive telephone calls on behalf of providers as needed.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to promote exceptional patient care and customer service.
Participate in educational activities and provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to staff when appropriate.
Prepare reports and present information at meetings as requested.
Oversee medical supply inventory and ordering for assigned clinic locations.
Maintain office supply inventory and notify management of supply needs or operational concerns.
Ensure compliance with company policies, HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Services Manager.

Qualifications

Medical Assistant Certification required.
Medical office experience in a physician's office or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Working knowledge of medical office procedures, organizational policies and procedures, and office management practices.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, medical staff, coworkers, and the public.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in the use of computers and standard office equipment.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time; push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, and stretch as needed.
Ability to operate office equipment including keyboards, telephones, calculators, photocopiers, and printers.
Ability to routinely travel to clinic locations within the assigned region.
Maintain a current, valid driver's license.
