As Medication Technician, you’ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.
Your Role:
As the Medication Technician, your role includes providing hands-on care, administering medications, and offering physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.
Position Highlights:
- Status: FULL TIME / PART TIME
- Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift
- Location: 1 Savannah Square Drive, Savannah, GA 31406
- Rate of Pay: $18-$19
What You’ll Do:
- Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
- Administer and observe medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly, including refusal of medications or missed doses
- Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation in activities.
- Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support overall well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas, and medication/treatment spaces.
- Respond promptly to resident call bells and community security systems.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding care needs and changes in condition.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, infection control protocols, and confidentiality policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment
