Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant/Front Desk professional, where your energy and dedication will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care and a welcoming office environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to blend clinical assistance with front office responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations. You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient records, and insurance processing while supporting the clinical team with chairside assistance and infection control protocols. Duties

Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling efficiently using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention management procedures
Assist dentists during procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties with chairside support and four-handed dentistry techniques
Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques
Manage medical documentation by updating medical records accurately in Epic or similar EMR platforms while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging when necessary to support comprehensive patient care
Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, processing insurance claims, verifying benefits, and managing medical coding for billing purposes

Requirements

Proven experience in dental assisting and front desk roles within a dental clinic environment
Proficiency in EMR systems including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, clinical confidentiality policies, infection control standards, and dental sterilization procedures
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry practices
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; experience with dental x-ray equipment preferred
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and recordkeeping
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers in a fast-paced setting
