Serving families throughout Coastal Georgia and the South Carolina Lowcountry, our office supports a growing team of more than 70 Personal Care Aides (PCAs) and caregivers. As our Human Resources Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in recruiting, onboarding, engaging, and supporting the employees who deliver exceptional care to our clients.

Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator serves as the primary support for caregiver recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and HR administration. This role works closely with leadership to ensure we attract, hire, and retain outstanding caregivers while maintaining compliance with state regulations and FirstLight Home Care standards.
What You'll Do
- Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard Personal Care Aides (PCAs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other caregiving staff.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure all employment documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain confidential employee records and personnel files.
- Monitor caregiver credentials, background checks, TB testing, CPR certifications, training, and annual compliance requirements.
- Support employee relations by answering HR questions, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Partner with office leadership to develop caregiver recruitment and retention strategies.
- Assist with employee recognition initiatives and engagement programs.
- Coordinate performance evaluations and employment status changes.
- Assist with payroll preparation by verifying employee information and documentation.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies.
- Help ensure our caregivers receive the support they need to provide exceptional service to our clients.
- Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of Human Resources, recruiting, or office administration experience.
- Experience in home care, healthcare, senior care, or a service-based organization is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, compassionate, and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with scheduling, HRIS, or home care software is a plus.

- The after-hours on call phone rotates among office staff to ensure there is always someone to manage the caregivers, as some of them provide 24 hr or weekend care. Are you available to work on-call after hours at least 1 week out of the month?
