Full Job Description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Set-up and maintain machinery to successfully execute jobs
Understanding of engineering drawings requirements for production. Uploading and entering cut program from engineering.
Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance within all guidelines of company policy and safety. Check machinery daily (pre shift inspections) to ensure streamline functionality with minimal downtime.
Oversee the machine operation while executing job specific quality targets. Implementing necessary changes adapting to mechanical, material and quality issues that may arise during the production of the magnetic circuit to maintain efficiency and a safe working environment.
Completion of production, mechanical and quality logs.
Operation of but not limited to overhead crane, forklift and air pallet.
Strong communication and understanding of all aspects of machinery in area. This is critical in determining root cause of any deviations from normal operating procedures. Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
Shift reports are completed daily
Takes ownership of departments cleanliness / housekeeping expectations. Ensuring the next shift is set up for success.
Conduct regular quality checks meet specifications.
Understanding the importance of how production deadlines can affect timely delivery to our customers.
Situational awareness, attention to detail and sense of urgency importance:

All materials needed current job and future job are present
Scheduling of manpower for upcoming jobs is enough to meet deadlines.
Understanding of PM’s and if any part of machinery needs maintenance – it is communicated to supervisor immediately for scheduling repairs.

Basic understanding of PLC’s, conveyor belts, drives, proximity & limit switches, drive belts / chains, gearbox, motors, bearings, bushings, pneumatics, valves, hydraulics, etc.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
2 Years Manufacturing experience.
1-2 years experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
Strong comprehension and analytical abilities.
Execution of reports and understanding of traceability through manufacturing process
Proven computer and mathematical skills.
Understanding of imperial and metric systems
Able to work overtime if required
Able to lift 50 pounds
Willing to work various shifts if needed
Ability and willingness to work on elevated platforms and in confined spaces
Demonstrated strong leadership skills in previous manufacturing environments
