Vickers and Nolan Enterprises (VNE) is an engineering company that provides Government projects and programs with experienced and dedicated system architects, engineers, subject matter experts (in tactical intelligence), and program managers. VNE also develops training courses and tools to prepare warfighters to effectively employ tactical intelligence systems and provide management guidance to the Government organizations that develop these systems.

Qualifications

VNE, LLC is looking for a Cleared Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High School diploma or GED

Experience:

Two (2) years of experience, to include: assembling orders and preparing goods for shipment; recording shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability; receiving, unpacking materials/supplies and reporting damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes; and completing shipping and receiving reports. Experience in:
Performing clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods of the establishment in which employed and receiving incoming shipments
Performing day-to-day, routine tasks, this worker follows established guidelines. In handling unusual non-routine problems, this worker receives specific guidance from supervisors or other officials
Directing and coordinating the activities of other workers engaged in handling goods to be shipped or being received.
Shipping duties typically involve the following: verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents; ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles, and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading.
Receiving duties typically involve the following: verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records, checking for damaged goods, ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment, and preparing and keeping records of goods received.
Secret Clearance required, must be clearable to the TS/SCI level.

Job Description:

The scope of work covers systems engineering, technical, and management support services for the government and its associated acquisition, technology, logistics, and program management offices. Support is provided to multiple stakeholders responsible for the development, integration, and sustainment of specialized operational capabilities. The scope of support includes program management, engineering analysis and design, configuration management, testing, quality control, sustainment, cybersecurity, training, and field service representative (FSR) support for a static collection capability that functions as a subsystem within a larger integrated system.

This is in support of the development, production, and sustainment of specialized intelligence capabilities. Configuration management and associated systems engineering activities are conducted through a collaborative effort among multiple government and partner organizations to ensure interoperability, performance, and lifecycle support.

Essential Duties of the Job:

Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
