Description: Eight Corners School is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, flexible, and student-centered Library Education Technician III to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with young children and be committed to fostering a love of reading, literacy, and learning in a welcoming and engaging library environment.
Working under the direction of the K2 Librarian, the Library Ed Tech will assist with planning and delivering developmentally appropriate library lessons for students in kindergarten through second grade, support daily library operations, and help create a positive, inclusive space where students develop a lifelong love of books and learning. Responsibilities include assisting with book circulation, maintaining the library collection, preparing instructional materials, supporting literacy activities, and collaborating with classroom teachers and school staff.
When library classes are not in session, this position will provide flexible support throughout the building based on student and school needs. Responsibilities may include assisting in classrooms, supporting small groups or individual students, supervising students, and providing coverage or other instructional support as assigned.
The successful candidate is organized, collaborative, adaptable, and enjoys working as part of a team to support the success of all students.
A valid Maine Education Technician III Authorization is required. Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred.
Pay Range: View the applicable collective bargaining agreement for hourly pay rates, and related employment terms. Educational Support Professionals Contract
