Kemco Trucking is seeking a Safety/Compliance Coordinator to assist in the oversight and management of our safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with all regulating authorities and corporate policies. This position assumes responsibility for the workplace safety and compliance of all co-workers, and for the safety conditions of the work locations, exercise and promotes safe behaviors and show unyielding support of programs, rules, regulations and policies regarding safety.

Your Role:

 Responsible for personal safety-related driver training, developing and providing support to safety initiatives, and supporting the development and maintenance of our safety culture.

 Conducts training for injuries, both proactive and regulatory-required training.

 Ensure that all accidents / incidents are investigated in a timely and accurate fashion and are documented properly.

 Conducts on the job safety observations and 1-1 coaching.

 Develop and present information for driver safety meetings.

 Identify hazards & control all risks

 Work closely with top management to develop and implement safety plans/programs.

 Manage incidents with effective incident management experience

 Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies

 Provide supervision and leadership for discipline related to safety issues, including suspensions and terminations, according to company policy.

 Address human resource issues promptly, accordingly and following the principles of progressive discipline where appropriate, emphasizing corrective actions to improve individual performance.

 Maintain DOT employee files including audits for compliance

 Ensure the company CSA score is at a minimal

We Need You To Have:

 Excellent communication skills

 Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft office programs

 Ability to interact well with employees at all levels of the organization

 Conflict management and negotiation skills

 Knowledge of DOT fleet and driver regulations

 Knowledge of TSA regulations as applicable to IAC agent responsibilities and training

 Knowledge of OSHA regulations as applicable to transportation

 Knowledge of Human Resource procedures and best practices

 Fuel tax management and quarterly reporting

We’d Like You To Have:

 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Dot experience

 Two years of safety experience

 Prior management experience

 Ability to function in a multi-task environment
