Assistant Food & Beverage Director

Food & Beverage Director

Description

The Assistant Food & Beverage Director will support the Food & Beverage Director in overseeing the operations of our dining facilities, including Fox & Turtle and our Banquet Spaces. This role is pivotal in ensuring that we deliver our food and beverage patrons an excellent experience. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a deep understanding of fine dining, exceptional service and club management.

Success Profile:

Collaborate with managers and staff to identify and document a consistent standard of performance for each food and beverage staff position
Provide leadership to staff members via training, mentoring, supervising and holding staff accountable to performance standards
Achieve daily operational excellence including delivering exceptional service across all food and beverage outlets
Collaborate with various individuals to design and implement innovative and seasonal menus that align with preferences and industry trends
Supervise and support both the front and back of house of the restaurant and banquet facility
Demonstrate an ability to develop and manage budgets for food and beverage operations
Exhibit an entrepreneurial passion for building new structures and processes, not just maintaining the status quo and waiting to be told what to do
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Accountability:

LMA (Leadership + Management = Accountability)
Ensure that all food and beverage products meet standards for quality, presentation and safety
Hire, train and evaluate staff based upon programs designed to enhance skills and ensure consistent service standards
Support all operational aspects, including inventory management, ordering, budgeting and pricing, of the food and beverage department
Assist the team in achieving financial targets and maintaining budgetary controls for all food and beverage operations

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Knowledge of food and beverage service standards as well as health and safety regulations
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control and financial analysis
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to deliver exceptional service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability and desire to interact professionally with customers, staff and colleagues
Team player with a positive attitude who will present a positive image of the Club
Proactively and effectively diagnoses, prioritizes and solves issues
Has the ability and understands the expectations of the hospitality industry to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
