Job Description:
The Tech Assistant is an entry level position in neurotech Neurodiagnostic Department. Responsibilities of this position include: assisting the EEG Technologist at in-home EEG hookups, picking up EEG equipment from the patient’s home, occasionally assisting patient with electrode removal, performing fixes of ongoing EEG studies if needed, cleaning and disinfecting of EEG equipment, downloading and importing of EEG data to server for review.

Schedule:
Tues, Thu, Sat, Sun 8am-4:30pm as needed
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Serves as an escort for EEG technologist for in-home EEG hookups
· Assists EEG technologist during an in-home EEG
· Picks up medical equipment within an approximate 60-mile radius of office.
· Fixes and troubleshoots EEG recording issues
· Removes electrodes from patient’s scalp
· Cleans and disinfects of equipment using proper infection control standards
· Uploads EEG data and video to scanning server/computer
· Compliance with HIPAA and with infection control policies and protocols
· Participates in on-call rotation (evenings and weekends)
· Performs other errands assigned by the Office Manager or Lead Neurodiagnostic Technologist
· Drives company assigned vehicle
· Dress in company provided attire
· Maintains confidentiality
Minimum Requirements:
· Valid driver’s license and good driving record
· Must be comfortable entering patient homes
· Good customer service skills

· Some kneeling/crawling
· Pulling/pushing >50 pounds

Physical Ability:
Must be good or greater: vision, hearing, manual dexterity, talking and speech, typing, concentrate for longer periods of time under stressful conditions and still perform effectively, driving.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
