Full Job Description

Job Description:

Produce curtainwall and storefront shop drawings including floor plans, elevations, and details
Interpret & coordinate structural calculations with shop drawings
Produce fabrication drawings
Create and maintain BIM Models
Create and maintain product literature
Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

AutoCAD proficient
Ability to read architectural and structural plans
Revit and Inventor familiarity a plus
Basic skills in Word and Excel
Familiarity with standard drafting practices
Team player with excellent communication and follow through skills
Candidate expected to reside in the Chicago Metropolitan area

Estimator/Project Manager (Inside Sales)

Estimators collect and analyze data in order to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to manufacture a product, construct a building, or provide a service. Estimators provide managers with the information they need in order to submit competitive contract bids or price products appropriately. They require experience in the door, storefront, and curtainwall industry. Inside sales personnel interact with customers by phone, e-mail or face to face. The position requires a customer service focus and maintaining relationships with our current and new customers.

Duties

Review or perform takeoff depending on the project and prepare cost estimates using a Pittco worksheet;
Review project to confirm Pittco system are appropriate for the intended purpose;
Request cost information from suppliers listed in the specifications;
Update quotes as revisions are submitted prior to quote acceptance;
Write purchase orders for hardware and finishing (paint/anodize);
Write sales orders for stock length orders, standard entrances, custom entrances, punched openings, accessories;
Provide customers with door/frame or punched opening drawings confirming size and handing for non-stock doors;
Follow up on the status of orders and arrange pick up/shipping schedules with the Shipping team; and
All other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Assistant

Warehouse Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 pounds and move aluminum doors, break metal and glass
Ability to read a tape measure

Job Description:

Operate a forklift and overhead crane
Pack and load customer's orders onto trucks
Process shipping and receiving paperwork
Take inventory of material
Fabricate break metal
Local deliveries
Cut glass as required
Additional duties as needed

Door & Frame Fabricator

Position Summary:

Fabricate and assemble Aluminum doors and frames using a variety of punch presses, pneumatic drills, nut drivers and hand tools.

Install required custom hardware to customer specifications.

May be required to make deliveries and pick-ups using company vehicle.

Qualifications for the Position:

Knowledge of door hardware
Experience in metal fabrication and assembly procedures.
Blue print reading.
Comprehensive knowledge of measuring devices.
Good communication skills.
Ability to operate a variety of power equipment such as saws, punch presses, drill presses, milling machines and hand and bench tools.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Fabricate / assemble materials per layouts, cut sheets, & specifications.
Deliveries and pick-ups as needed in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Moves and handles heavy items. Requires manual dexterity to operate factory equipment. Assist others as needed. Fill in for others during absences, and performs other jobs as required.
Advise supervisor of material and part shortages as required.
Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
