Job Summary

G Pub is seeking a dependable and energetic Salad Prep/Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. This position is responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, assembling salads and cold menu items, and supporting the kitchen team with general food preparation.

The ideal candidate takes pride in organization, cleanliness, consistency, and presentation. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

As a Salad Prep/Line Cook, you will help ensure that fresh, high-quality menu items are prepared accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include:

Preparing, washing, cutting, and portioning vegetables, proteins, dressings, garnishes, and other ingredients.
Assembling salads, appetizers, and other cold menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Setting up and maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked station.
Monitoring ingredient quality, freshness, and proper portioning.
Labeling, dating, rotating, and properly storing food products.
Following recipes and accommodating approved dietary requests and modifications.
Supporting the culinary team with additional food preparation and line-cooking responsibilities as needed.
Restocking ingredients and supplies throughout each shift.
Assisting with opening, station maintenance, and closing duties.
Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service.
Contributing to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.

Food Safety and Sanitation Matter

Responsibilities include:

Following all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
Practicing proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature-control procedures.
Preventing cross-contamination and following allergen-safety protocols.
Maintaining a clean and sanitized workstation throughout each shift.
Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, cutting boards, and food-preparation areas.
Following personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards.
Supporting daily and weekly cleaning procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in food preparation, salad preparation, or a similar kitchen role is preferred.
Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are helpful.
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to follow recipes and portioning guidelines accurately.
Ability to work efficiently and remain organized in a high-volume environment.
Dependable, punctual, and committed to completing assigned responsibilities.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
