Position Summary
IVMS is seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical abilities and be capable of maintaining plant equipment safely and efficiently to support production objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Multi-craft industrial maintenance experience required.
- Technical school certification or associate degree preferred (documentation required).
- Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Candidates should be proficient in the following areas:
Electrical & Controls
- Electrical control systems
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) controls
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) / Variable Speed Drives
- Motor controls
- Process controls
- Instrument calibration
- Electrical installation of new equipment and controls
- Running conduit and making proper bends and turns
- Proper sizing, pulling, and termination of wiring
Mechanical Systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Bearing replacement
- Machine alignment
- Pumps and pump systems
- General mechanical maintenance and repair
Technical & Maintenance Functions
- Troubleshooting techniques and root cause analysis
- Timely repair of manufacturing equipment
- Preventive maintenance (PM) assignments
- Blueprint and drawing interpretation
- Equipment installation and startup
- Maintenance documentation and paperwork completion
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process control systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
- Install, modify, and maintain electrical systems, controls, and machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Install conduit, wiring, motors, controls, and related equipment.
- Replace bearings, align machinery, calibrate instruments, and maintain pumps.
- Support equipment upgrades and capital improvement projects.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move parts and materials.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and remove debris as needed.
- Complete maintenance records and required documentation accurately.
- Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned by IVMS Management.
