Job Summary
Serious inquiries only please. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Case Manager to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping with managing billing processes, ensuring accurate submission of claims, maintaining patient records, helping the patients with patient financing, and being the go to person the patients can communicate with. This role is crucial in facilitating the financial operations of our office, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and assisting with a great patient experience.

Responsibilities

Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10 to ensure correct coding of diagnoses and procedures.
Follow up on unpaid claims, perform medical collections, and resolve billing discrepancies with the billing company.
Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their bills, payment plans, and insurance inquiries.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information for billing purposes.
Stay updated on patient financing changes.

Requirements

Experience in medical billing or a related role within a medical office setting is helpful.
Understanding of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10) are helpful.
Familiarity with medical collection processes and handling of medical records is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems a plus.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and insurance representatives and teammates.
