Full Job Description

Legal Assistant Collections / Assessment Recovery

Job Summary

This position will be located in the firm’s administrative offices in Tempe, Arizona. This position will assist with preparation of documents, pleadings, letters, online research, copying, scanning, and printing of legal documents within the department. Additionally, this position will assist with Court calls, electronic filing of Court documents, process server follow ups, and scheduling of hearings.

Job Responsibilities

Working under the direction of both attorneys and paralegals.
Processing payments received from debtors.
Working with various courts in all counties.
Finalize, file, and organize legal documents prepared by attorneys and paralegals.
Electronic filing of Court documents.
Working with Process Servers.

Job Requirements

High school diploma required.
Minimum of two years of assistant experience, preferably in a law firm or collections department.
Experience working with FDCPA and FCRA guidelines and regulations preferred.
Maintain professional interaction with clients and debtors.
Excel at multi-tasking and organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Software.

Job Type: Full-time

Work hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 2:30 pm departure on Friday. The firm offers excellent benefits for full-time employees, including health, dental, vision, and long term disability insurance, 401k employer match, paid time off and parking.
