The Systems Engineer is a senior-level technical professional responsible for the reliability, scalability, security, and continuous improvement of New Freedom's technology systems and infrastructure. This hands-on role serves as a technical expert, project leader, escalation resource, and mentor while translating business needs into effective technology solutions. The Systems Engineer plays a key role in driving innovation, supporting organizational growth, and reducing operational risk through technology excellence.

- Serving as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues and system challenges
- Supporting and optimizing Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and related systems
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure, networking, security, and identity management solutions
- Leading technology projects, upgrades, migrations, and system improvement initiatives
- Developing automation, reporting, dashboards, and internal technology solutions
- Supporting cybersecurity, disaster recovery planning, and operational resilience efforts
- Mentoring Systems Support team members and promoting technical best practices
- Maintaining documentation, operational standards, and technical procedures

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible IT experience
- Advanced experience supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure/Entra ID environments
- Experience with identity and access management technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and systems analysis skills across multiple technology platforms
- Experience with scripting or development tools such as PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies
- Familiarity with automation platforms such as Power Automate or Power Apps
- Experience supporting infrastructure, networking, security, and enterprise systems
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Experience configuring and managing FortiGate firewalls preferred
- Experience supporting UniFi networking environments preferred
- Experience designing and supporting wireless networks within complex facilities preferred
- Experience supporting HIPAA-regulated healthcare or behavioral health environments preferred
- Experience developing internal tools, reporting systems, dashboards, and automation solutions preferred
- Strong SharePoint architecture and solution design experience

This position works primarily in a professional office environment with some hybrid flexibility based on organizational needs. Work may occur across multiple facilities and technical environments.
