About This Job

Position: Physician Assistant / PA-C - Surgical First Assist (Full-Time, Onsite)

Join Haus of Confidence at our HOC Gilbert location (3303 S Lindsay Rd STE 105) as a mid-level PA-C Surgical First Assist. In this role you will work directly with our aesthetic surgeons and clinical team to support minimally invasive cosmetic procedures—including awake liposuction, natural fat transfer, and other surgical and office-based procedures—helping deliver safe, transformative outcomes for our patients.

This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a fast-growing, innovative medspa where you will use advanced surgical assisting skills, contribute to procedure planning, educate patients, and play a visible role in a multidisciplinary team focused on confidence, wellness, and aesthetic excellence.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary surgical first assist during cosmetic procedures (e.g., awake liposuction, fat transfer, laser resurfacing), providing retraction, exposure, hemostasis, and layered closure as directed by the surgeon.
Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments, document findings, and communicate perioperative plans with the surgical team and patients.
Manage intraoperative patient monitoring and assist with minor office-based procedures under local or monitored anesthesia care.
Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensure proper instrument setup, and manage surgical counts and equipment tracking.
Provide clear patient education on procedure expectations, recovery instructions, wound care, and complication recognition.
Collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to optimize workflow and deliver a high-quality patient experience.
Maintain accurate procedure documentation in the electronic medical record and support quality assurance and infection control practices.
Respond appropriately to perioperative emergencies and participate in ongoing safety and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program and current PA-C credential (NCCPA certified).
Active, unrestricted PA license in Arizona (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Minimum 2 years of experience as a surgical first assist or equivalent operative assisting experience; experience in elective cosmetic surgery preferred.
Current BLS; ACLS preferred or willingness to obtain.
Valid DEA registration or eligibility, plus current state medical malpractice coverage (employer-provided or ability to enroll).
Strong surgical skills including suturing, tissue handling, hemostasis, and familiarity with perioperative protocols.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work onsite in a fast-paced medspa environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Formal first assist certification (e.g., CSFA) or equivalent training.
Prior experience with awake liposuction, natural fat transfer, and aesthetic procedure workflows.
Familiarity with regenerative wellness services (peptide therapy, hormone replacement, IV therapies) and aesthetic injectables.
Experience with electronic medical records common to aesthetic practices.
