Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Bridal Alterations Specialist, where your expertise in clothing alterations and garment construction will help create unforgettable wedding experiences. In this role, you will closely assist a master bridal seamstress in helping brides with fittings. Your skills in customer service, sewing and garment fitting will be essential in delivering exceptional service and craftsmanship. This position offers a vibrant family oriented environment where your talent can shine and make a lasting impact on special moments.

Duties

Assist and prepare bride's fitting session and determine necessary alterations for wedding gowns.
Perform clothing alterations including beadwork, hand-sewing, hemming, adjusting train lengths, and resizing garments with precision.
Bridal gown pressing and steaming efficiently and neatly.
Communicate clearly with clients in person or over the phone to understand their alteration requests and document in a neat readable way.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper handling of fabric materials and garment construction tools
Assist in the all around processes to ensure daily appointments are ready.

Requirements

Proven experience in fashion retail or clothing alterations, especially within bridal or formal wear settings
Strong skills in garment sewing, stitching, hand sewing, and the use of sewing machines
Knowledge of fabric materials commonly used in wedding gowns such as lace, satin, tulle, and silk
Ability to operate pressing machines and perform press operations for finished garments
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Experience with fabric materials handling and garment fitting procedures
