The Field Marketing Lead serves as the primary trade marketing representative for Arizona retailers and market activations. This role partners closely with the Trade Marketing Manager and Account Managers to strengthen retail relationships, increase in-market visibility, support product education, and ensure Green Dot Labs is consistently and effectively represented throughout the market.
This position is highly field-based and supports retail activations, merchandising, account engagement, product training, marketing material distribution, and event execution. Success in this role is measured through market coverage, retailer engagement, activity levels, training execution, and contribution to revenue growth through strong retail partnerships and effective product education.
This role is regularly scheduled Tuesday through Saturday and requires flexibility to support some nights and weekends. The position is approximately 10% office-based and 90% field travel throughout Arizona, with occasional travel to Colorado to support brand initiatives and events.
- Build and maintain relationships with retail store managers and staff to identify and support sales floor needs

Maintain regular communication with the Trade Marketing Manager and Account Managers regarding retailer interactions, opportunities, and market updates

Staff in-store retail activations and off-site events to increase brand awareness, product adoption, and customer engagement

Deliver formal and informal brand and product training to new and existing retail accounts

Proactively identify accounts requiring additional product education or brand support

Educate retail staff on campaigns, product launches, promotions, and budtender-specific initiatives

Support limited-time offers and promotional programs through education, merchandising materials, promotional merchandise, and digital assets

Drive participation in Seed Talent retail education programs through awareness and incentive reminders

Support product replacement, buyback, event sample, and media sample activities as needed
- Conduct merchandising visits at intervals established by Sales and Trade Marketing leadership

Install and maintain display assets, packaging, collateral, and other merchandising materials according to trade marketing standards

Review in-store product presentation and identify opportunities to enhance Green Dot Labs' retail presence

Monitor product display and inventory levels and report out-of-stock conditions to Account Managers through Salesforce

Provide recommendations on merchandising opportunities and best practices based on retailer and competitor observations

Capture content at retail activations, events, and industry gatherings according to Brand-provided shot lists

Perform quality control checks of incoming merchandise and display assets as requested
- Develop efficient weekly travel routes based on account sales tiers, required visit frequency, Account Manager requests, and business needs

Review assigned booking requests and coordinate schedules using shared calendars

Maintain accurate, timely CRM reporting for retail visits, activations, merchandising, trainings, and other field activities

Complete activation reporting using established metrics and forms within required timelines

Maintain regular communication with Trade Marketing, Sales, and Brand partners while working in market

Proactively identify operational concerns and support timely problem-solving

Gather and communicate market intelligence regarding competitors, retailer trends, customer needs, and industry activity
- Prepare print kits and marketing materials to support weekly flower drops, campaigns, product launches, and retailer needs

Maintain appropriate inventory levels of printed materials, promotional merchandise, and display assets

Complete monthly inventory audits of merchandise and display assets

Submit required inventory and activity reporting to Trade Marketing and Brand leadership

Support distribution and organization of marketing materials across assigned accounts
- 4+ years of sales or field marketing experience required; cannabis or alcohol industry experience preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience using CRM systems required; Salesforce experience preferred

Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

Ability and willingness to travel more than 200 miles to visit assigned accounts

Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain all required state-issued cannabis industry credentials applicable to the position and work location
