Job Purpose:

The Department of Nursing seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach in its undergraduate and graduate Nursing programs. The following nursing specialties are needed: medical-surgical, family nurse practitioner, community health, maternal-child, and mental heath nursing . A master's degree in nursing is required.

Essential Duties:

Adjunct faculty function in the laboratory, clinical and classroom settings and are expected to prepare and grade course materials when necessary. Provide support and guidance to students; report grades and uphold the policies of the Department of Nursing and The University of Scranton.

Additional Skills Required:

Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure in the State of Pennsylvania, participate in the onboarding and clinical clearance process as required.

Minimum Education Requirements:

BSN with an active plan to complete an MSN within 5 years.

Preferred Education:

MSN or doctoral degree in nursing.

Minimum Job Experience Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in direct care of patients and clients. Prior clinical teaching experience preferred.
