We are a group of schools in Nassau County focused on Early Childhood Education and Experiences. Bright Minds Learning Services & Dilly Dally (in Farmingdale), Romper Room (in Williston Park), and South Shore (in North Bellmore) have a mission to “create bright minds”, teaching kids how to think rather than what to think.

This job post is specific to our Farmingdale location. Bright Minds Learning Services is a NYS Licensed 4410 Special Education Preschool. We are a warm, welcoming, and collaborative special education preschool and related services agency serving children ages 3–5. We are currently expanding and seeking dedicated, passionate professionals to join our supportive, interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct speech and language services to preschool students (ages 3–5)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary school-wide team within a special education preschool setting
Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives
Complete evaluations, quarterly progress reports, and annual reviews
Attend CPSE/CSE meetings, staff meetings, and Bright Minds events as needed

Candidate Must Possess:

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Licensure/Certification: NYS Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist

Preferred Experience:

Experience working with children in school-based or pediatric settings

Support gross motor development, mobility, balance, and strength
Collaborate with educational and clinical team members
Complete evaluations, IEPs, quarterly progress reports, and annual reviews
Attend CPSE meetings and relevant team meetings

Candidate Must Possess:

Minimum Education: Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy
Licensure/Certification: NYS Licensed Physical Therapist

Preferred Experience:

Experience working with young children in school or pediatric settings

Provide direct occupational therapy services to preschool students (ages 3–5)
Address fine motor, sensory processing, self-help, and regulation needs
Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and administrators
Write IEPs, evaluations, quarterly reports, and annual reviews
Participate in CPSE meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions

Candidate Must Possess:

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
Licensure/Certification: NYS Licensed Occupational Therapist

Preferred Experience:

Preschool, pediatric, or school-based experience

Develop and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Support staff through training, modeling, and coaching

Attend CPSE/CSE meetings and contribute to IEP development

Candidate Must Possess:

Certification: Active BCBA certification
Licensure: NYS LBA

Preferred Experience:

Preschool or early childhood behavioral support
School-based consultation experience

Employment Type: Full-time (10 or 12-month options)
Salary: $55,000 – $72,000 per year

Openings: 6:1:2 and 8:1:2 Special Class (SC) classrooms

Essential Functions:

Create a safe and healthy learning environment
Develop/implement classroom lessons based on IEP goals and curriculum standards
Write IEPs, quarterly reports, assessments
Maintain classroom management and supervise Teacher Assistants
Develop child-centered classroom displays
Attend CPSE/CSE meetings, staff meetings, and Bright Minds events
Maintain parent communication and provide training as needed

Candidate Must Possess:

Certification: NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities (Birth–2nd Grade or Pre-K–12)
Experience: Working with children ages 3–5
Ability to create a warm, inclusive environment and collaborate with related service staff
