SUMMARY: The Payroll Coordinator works in cooperation with the Scheid Family Wines management team to ensure employees are paid accurately and in a timely manner. As a member of the Finance team, your primary responsibilities are to organize and process weekly payroll, develop and maintain various spreadsheets, handle special projects, data entry, filing, and other miscellaneous clerical duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate production records, timesheets, and Paycom payroll system
- Responsible for computing, withholding, and deductions associated with net earnings
- Research timekeeping exceptions and takes proper corrective action
- Process tips and commissions for DTC/Hospitality staff
- Ensures that FLC timesheets match invoices during harvest
- Process and enter garnishments as required
- Prepare payroll reports as needed or upon management request
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Respond to payroll related employee questions
- Maintain records in a confidential and professional manner
- Work on special projects and assignments to help the Finance team achieve its goals
- Serve as back up to receptionist by answering phones, greeting visitors and employees
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years payroll experience, ag industry preferred
- Experience with FLCs a plus
- Spanish bilingual required
REQUIRED SKILLS
- LANGUAGE - Ability to respond to basic inquiries from employees and co-workers. Ability to read and write required correspondence that confirm to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and employees.
- TECHINICAL – Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Paycom Payroll a plus.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and/or keyboard. Required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. This job requires use of the computer and phone.
