Job Summary

Ultrasound Technologist - Providence Health - Seaside, OR.

Full-Time/Night Shift

Responsibilities

Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including prenatal, gynecological, breast, abdominal, vascular, and echocardiography scans.
Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures clearly and ensuring their comfort while maintaining aseptic techniques.
Accurately capture and analyze ultrasound images using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and other electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret findings related to women's health diagnostics, gynecology diagnostics, vascular technology diagnostics, and physiology assessments.
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, findings, and patient interactions in compliance with medical terminology standards and facility protocols.
Ensure the operation of all medical imaging equipment adheres to safety standards and best practices for medical equipment operation.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized work environment following aseptic techniques to prevent infection control issues.

Experience

Proven experience in sonography or diagnostic radiology with a focus on women's health or reproductive patient care.
Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to obstetrics, gynecology, vascular structures, and cardiac anatomy for echocardiography.
Familiarity with medical terminology used in gynecology diagnostics, prenatal ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound imaging.
Hands-on experience operating ultrasound machines and other medical imaging devices efficiently and accurately.
Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for documentation and image management.
Excellent communication skills to effectively explain procedures to patients and collaborate with healthcare providers.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of physiology principles relevant to obstetric, gynecological, cardiovascular, and vascular diagnostics.
