Full Job Description

Part-Time Bookkeeper

Seattle, WA | 20–25 hours per week | Flexible schedule
$35-45 per hour, depending on experience

We’re looking for an experienced part-time bookkeeper who can help keep our financial operations accurate, organized, and moving in stride.

This role is designed for someone who wants meaningful, professional work without a full-time schedule. Whether you’re returning to the workforce, balancing family or caregiving, pursuing another passion, or simply looking for more space in your week, we offer 20–25 consistent hours with a schedule we’ll shape together.

You don’t need to be a runner—but you should enjoy working with an energetic, creative team and a brand built around women, movement, and community.

What you’ll do

Manage the accounting inbox and ensure requests, invoices, and questions are handled promptly.
Process accounts payable, including reviewing invoices, coding expenses, obtaining approvals, and preparing payments.
Record and apply accounts receivable receipts.
Reconcile bank accounts accurately and on schedule.
Reconcile e-commerce sales and payment activity to the general ledger.
Reconcile company credit-card accounts and follow up on missing information.
Prepare standard month-end journal entries.
Complete recurring balance-sheet and other month-end reconciliations.
Research discrepancies and help resolve accounting issues.
Maintain clear, well-organized supporting documentation.
Partner with the finance team to support an accurate and timely month-end close.

What you bring

Accounting coursework, an associate degree, or a bookkeeping certification is helpful but not required. Equivalent hands-on experience is valued.
Minimum three years of recent hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, filtering, and working confidently with larger data sets.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, credit-card reconciliations, and journal entries.
A solid understanding of debits, credits, and accrual-based accounting.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to getting the numbers right.
The ability to manage recurring deadlines and work independently.
A proactive, communicative style—you raise questions, follow through, and keep others informed.
Good judgment and discretion when working with confidential financial information.

Even better if you have

QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification or other bookkeeping/accounting certification.
Experience in e-commerce, retail, or consumer products.
Experience with AI assisted Accounting APPs
Experience reconciling Shopify or other e-commerce platforms and payment processors.
Experience working in a small, entrepreneurial, or fast-moving company.
An interest in running, athletics, or women’s sports.

Schedule and work arrangement

This is a part-time position averaging 20–25 hours per week. The schedule is flexible and will be established collaboratively, with some availability needed during regular business hours and around month-end close.

Work arrangement: Onsite (Seattle Green Lake neighborhood) 2-3 days a week preferred

Compensation and benefits

$35–$45 per hour, depending on experience.
