Programmer (R&D - Applications Team)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Programmer to join our Applications Team in the R&D department. This role is responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of new and existing web-based systems and applications to meet the needs of Pacific Software Publishing, Inc. You will work closely with various teams to create efficient, high-quality software solutions, applying computer science and mathematical principles in a dynamic and evolving technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications and systems.
Provide project estimates to the Applications Team Manager and Project Coordinator.
Write and maintain code in languages such as PHP, Perl, Python, JavaScript, jQuery, and more on Linux and Windows platforms.
Implement dynamically generated HTML and interactive front-end features.
Assist with deployment of site updates and new projects in coordination with the Server Team.
Continuously improve application performance, usability, and security.

Qualifications:

Strong programming skills in PHP, Perl, Python, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience or willingness to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Self-motivated, quick learner, and collaborative team player committed to continuous improvement.

LOCATION

Bellevue, WA (PSPINC HQ)

SALARY

$23.00 per hour (higher pay available based on experience)

WORK DAYS / HOURS

Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (flexible start/end, 8-hour workdays)
